Project Description

This new-build project in Wolverhampton involved the development of a mixed-use steel frame building featuring 64 student apartments above a ground-floor retail area. The site required extensive preliminary works due to its historical use and structural complexity.

Key Works Delivered On-Site:

  • Site Clearance & Ground Preparation: The site, previously home to a public house, was excavated down to the original cellars to reach solid ground.

  • Material Recycling & Sustainability: Excavated hardcore was stockpiled and processed on-site using a crusher. This allowed us to produce sustainable hardcore material for reuse within the project, while the surplus was supplied to a partnering contractor—maximizing environmental efficiency.

  • Structural Works: Steel frame construction commenced once groundwork was completed, forming the framework for the 64 residential units and commercial space below.
